About Us
Horizons Learning Foundation is a nonprofit organization based in Harrisonburg, Virginia, committed to advancing youth development, cultural exchange, and global awareness. Since its founding in 2009, the Foundation has served as an incubator for impactful programs that equip young people with the skills, values, and experiences needed to thrive in a diverse and interconnected world.
With a focus on education, leadership, and service, the Foundation currently supports two core initiatives. It is the U.S. partner of the Nasaruni School for Maasai Girls in Kenya, helping to expand access to education for girls in underserved communities. In addition, it serves as the host and operator of Camp Up with People—a summer program that blends performing arts, leadership development, and community service to bring together youth from around the globe.
